I Need Help with Ubuntu Install

The last two times I installed ubuntu i started to get boot problems. First instants i couldn't get the grub to boot it kept restarting in a loop. then recently had the time to reinstall it but it happened again and when I tried to fix it but the disk I used to fix the boot loader.
I installed the OS using ext2 but I could have sworn I installed it in ext3 I have.

Can some one help me?
